Phoenix Temple

I know that many of my good friends here in Utah are accustomed to having almost every Sunday dinner spent with close family. For some, there are so many relatives that want to spend time with them that they rotate which side of the family they get to dine with on the Sabbath. For the Bountiful, Utah Smith clan, neither our siblings or our parents live in town, so this wonderful Sunday that was spent with both sides of our families wasn't just fun, but was a boon (aka a blessing / godsend.)  We were able to attend a unique Sunday service where the Phoenix Temple was dedicated (because we were still in AZ after the funeral of Ryan's Grandpa), able to have lunch with Ryan's side of the family where he received a special blessing from his father, with the help of all his brothers, and then  some impromptu family photos and dinner with my side of the family. All in all, it was as close to a perfect family Sunday as I have had in a very long time, a day to be remembered and cherished.

Those of us who were able to attend the stake building where Hillary and John Webster attend church.

After lunch, the darling granddaughters made a book for Grandma Linda.

Annie pulling a wagon with 5 cousins. We walked about 3 houses away to take some family pictures at a neighborhood park.

All the cousins lined up, not one of them looking in my direction.

Parents, siblings and spouses: 10 cheerleaders, supports, and blessed people.

Dinner: Hillary nailed it and we all got to eat it.

Nana watching t.v. with Sam, Preston and Calvin. Nana rocks!

  1. It was a blessed Sunday. I love that Annie is pulling the wagon in one flip flop and one bare foot, she is a beast in every good sense of the word! Miss your crew already.
