The Last Day of Summer

My four year old Owen has been looking forward to school for about a year.  For a long time we believed that he would attend Simon Says Preschool in Bountiful, Ut, just like his siblings Annie and Simon had done. Then we discovered we would be away for sabbatical in England and that he would start kindergarten.  He had his backpack ready.  Then we discovered that we were moving to Scotland instead. If we lived in England, he would be in school, but he missed the Scotland school deadline by 2 months.  Basically, my poor son has been looking forward to school for a very long time, and he finally starts tomorrow. Owen Ryan Wallace Smith will be attending Tyncastle Nursery School M-F, 12:30 to 15:00. Today was his last day of summer, so we headed to the community center and he partied hard in the soft play center.
