Three Day Weekend!

To Preston's credit, he actually did attend school. Very responsible, and I know he will be blessed for his dedication.  The rest of us, however, made today day three of a three day weekend.  Lesley and her crew are heading home early tomorrow morning, and we so wanted to seize the day, and cram in as much family togetherness as possible.  It was a low key, relaxing day with cousins.  We went to Gardner village where they have a wonderful Halloween display, then we hit Ikea for lunch and just walked around, dreaming about kitchen makeovers.  The day ended with a short FHE on general conference, and a handful of wonderful chocolate cookies (the recipe is in my book, FEAST!)  A really great day, that could only have been made better by Ryan and Preston joining us.

Posing with a witch.  These wonderfully artistic full size witches are all over this shopping center.  And pumpkins. They have pumpkins everywhere.

Giant spider web.  Hay bales. Pumpkins. Photo op.

Lunch at Ikea.  Hard to beat the price for the taste... Unless I am home and in the mood to make some crazy good stuff I learned at Edinburgh New Town Cookery School... But a plate full of heat and eat Ikea meatballs will always hold a place in my heart. So will the Howe family, and this general conference weekend.
