After 10 years of a very successful academic career, after countless hours of teaching classes, grading papers, heading committees, writing a few books, several journal articles, numerous conferences, getting tenure, and surviving the madness of academia... Ryan Edward Smith is now officially the Associate Dean in the College of Architecture and Planning, at the University of Utah.* The job begins on Monday. The fame and fortune and glory will inevitably begin on Tuesday. Well Done!!!

When given the option of dinner anywhere to celebrate, I was somewhat surprised by his choice of Texas Roadhouse. Ryan does love him some barbecue ribs.
