GC Weekend

Tomorrow morning something crazy exciting is happening in Salt Lake City, Utah.  The church that I am a baptized member of, as in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (aka the Mormons) is having it's second General Conference of the year. General Conference is a series of special church meetings, Saturday and Sunday, where we get the opportunity to listen to Church leaders; our prophet, presidents, councilors and apostles. They will teach us about our Savior, Jesus Christ. We will learn about His gospel.  We will rejoice in all of the blessings associated with gathering together as members.  We will receive answers to personal questions, even if the answers remain unspoken, because of the Spirit that will be felt in those meetings by all who are in attendance, or who are joining in by broadcast, on the internet, or who will later read the talks recorded in magazines or on online.  I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Thoughts and prayers tonight for all those who will be speaking, praying, or singing in these meetings.  It will be epic.

Ryan's gift for day #4 of chemo-radiation was a tasty fruit smoothie.  They had sherbet in them. He loves sherbet.  He gets two days off, and will start back up again on Monday. 4 days down, 24 more to go.  We're looking forward to November 6th.
