Listen to a Prophet's Voice

Tonight the women's group in our church celebrated the fact that we belong to a church that believes that prophets and apostles are still on the Earth, that God still communicates to us through them, and that we a blessed with a variety of loving council to help us make our way in this life (the Bible, Book of Mormon, church meetings, temples, and words of our leaders.) The night was called a "Feast Upon the Word" and feast we did: chowders, breads, fruit, desserts, punch, conversation, games, delightful! School starts tomorrow, good bye to spring break, which means I can continue working on the kitchen, but won't feel guilty about it (because the t.v won be babysitting them. Instead their teachers will be filling their brains with valuable cosmic knowledge.)... For more info about this Mormon General Conference... go to lds.org ... If a you thought that Moses, or Noah, or Peter were speaking in just a few days, wouldn't you be curious???

This is the lacquer that I painted on the floor today. It is nasty smelling stuff... and with every whiff (and killed brain cell) I know that I am that much closer to a completed kitchen.

A friend of mine put together this matching game with quotes from conference.  It was loads of fun... and incidentally, my outfit matched all of the decor tonight.  How fun!
