Happy Birthday Preston!

My sweet oldest son, Preston Edward Albert Smith (aka "Peas") turned 14 years old today.  This year in Scotland has been such a year of growth for him.  He now has his father by a few inches, and he has learned a great deal here ( academically, socially, spiritually) that has helped to turn him into the great man that he will eventually become.  As we have been traveling, and returned just this morning, and he leaves for EFY early tomorrow, his birthday took on a much simpler tone that is the standard Smith family party fare.  That being said, every day with Preston is a party.  He is such a kind, cheerful guy.  His siblings look up to him and his parents are so pleased with his inner awesome.  He was ordained to a new office in our church today, that of Teacher.  Very exciting stuff.  Happy fourteenth birthday, baby sweet Peas!

Preston and his Chocolate Peanut Butter Cupcake with Chocolate Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Frosting, and 14 candles, with a look of concentration.  What is he wishing for?! Will we ever know?!  Hip hip, hooray! Longs Alza Lay Va!

Lucky us!  My dear pal since 2nd grade, Ms. Alexandra Marie Armenta flew in today, all the way from  Tucson today for a visit.  She even managed to stay awake till 10:00pm tonight.  What a trooper! What fun we will have!

While cleaning up after dinner, Alex asked if we have ziploc bags.  I told her I wasn't sure, and thought we might be out. About half an hour later, we saw Owen walking around like this.  Apparently, we do have ziplocks. What a goober.
