DC

We are still pretty tired form the adventures of yesterday, but want to make the most of our time here.  So we woke up, showered one and all, ate a very lovely breakfast here at the hotel, and were off. Our lodging is extremely close to the capital building so we were able to walk to many exciting destinations.  First, to the capital building, then to the National Air and Space Museum, then lunch at the Native American Museum.  We then walked back to the hotel for a relaxing swim and nap.  Then we metroed over to the White House (as in where the US president lives!!!!) walked past the Washington Monument and then strolled back to our hotel.  Best part of the day was finally meeting up with Ryan's parents who we haven't seen in almost a year.  They are here to enjoy some DC adventures and then will embark to NC with us on Monday to visit Ryan's sister and brother and their families. Great Day!

A trip to DC with our kids was a goal Ryan and I made the first year of our marriage.  Fairytales can come true.

Annie and me, as a happy as can be.

A huge jet engine at the air and space museum.

Swimming at the pool.

Holding Washington Monument.  It's under construction, thus the metal cage wrapped around it.
