DC Day 2

Today's Highs: Holocaust Museum, Swimming, gourmet dinner with free appetizer.  Today's Lows:  Simon's migraine and Owen falling asleep repeatedly due to jet lag. Maybe by the time we leave DC he will have adjusted.  The rest of us are simply bucking up and staying up until a decent hour to sleep.  It is 10:00 pm as I write this now and I am falling asleep.  The weather has been incredible here, sunny but cool. Most of the children around the country must be back in school with Utah being the anomaly.  Therefore, the lines are short, Metro is empty and it feels good to have a bit of space.

Riding the Metro with Grandma

Nap #1 in the Holocaust Memorial Museum.

Simon during his migraine.  He ended up so bad, Grandpa and he returned to the hotel for a nap.

Atrium of the Holocaust Museum.  Ryan says it is designed by Freed, a jewish architect.  The building reminds me of a train station or factory of the early 20th century.

Talking with my mother-in-law, Linda.

Cal practicing his speech for when he is elected as President.  The favorite exhibit in the American History Museum was the 1st Lady gown display.

Gritz with shrimp and egg.  This was a creation by the chef for me when he found out I was a chef.  Very tasty dinner all around, simply presented.
