A Whole New World

Tonight's performance of Aladdin was simply amazing.  Laura Brown, the director and owner of Spotlight Children's Theatre, turned 100 children, ages 5 to 15 into a sleek, fabulous, Arabian Night crew of talented actors and actresses in a short 3 weeks.  Preston played Jafar. Simon was the Sultan. Annie was a golden camel and Owen was a guard.  They remembered their lines.  They sang on key. They danced in unison.  It. Was. Wonderful. Im super excited that she is coming to Muir (our local elementary school) to do The Sound of Music. What fun!

My wallet. It once was lost but now it's found.

Simon on the far right, he was so great. He was silly and funny and did an excellent job with his lines.  Preston had this dark, angry, fearsome costume, and he totally nailed his solos.  I love to hear that boy sing.

Annie is in the gold, second from the left. I like seeing her all dolled up, and she just loves the make-up that being on stage requires.

Owen is singing his heart out.  I loved having 4 of my kids perform in the same play.
FYI, Calvin is in Yellowstone with some family friends. He is missed, but is living it up.

Jafar is trying to take over the all of Agrabah, and won't succeed, but he sure is fun to watch.

They do the bow together at the end of the play.  How wonderful!  Two BFF's.

Annie and Owen: citizens in the marketplace.
