Blessed Sunday

Calvin RIder Holman Smith was ordained a deacon today by his Father.  It was wonderful to have his grandparents with us.  Ryan is resting his weary bones tonight in Washington DC, but will return tomorrow night in time for FHE, so I will hold down the fort for the next 22 hours.  I taught in the women's meeting at church today (called the Relief Society) and I'm putting in a favorite quote that I used today.  Have a great night, and make this week extraordinary!

By Marriam Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Soo true, Marriam, so very true.

Annie with Athens.  Her nails are now blue!

A lovely game of memory.  Simon won, and he is actually totally awesome at this game!

SImon and Grandma played on the same team for CandyLand.

Ed with Calvin.  Lookin good.

Grandma Linda making sugar cookie with Owen and AJ.  How lucky for them!  The cookies turned out wonderfully.
