Today was cold and slightly drizzly. I finally went to get some medical attention for the burn I got last Friday. The good news is that it isn't infected, isn't terrible large, can be easily bandaged, and wasn't worse. The bad news is that it is a third degree burn and will take a few weeks to heal; some mumbo jumbo about the body needing time to grow new skin. The forecast for an ugly scar is 99%, with a high chance of more caution around ovens...By the time the afternoon rolled in, I had absolutely no desire to leave the house, but our Friday Fun Days are limited. So, I threw on my coat, piled the kids into the car, and we headed to visit two museums that we had never been to in Scotland, The People's Story (devoted to telling what life has been like for the commoner throughout Edinburgh's history) and the Museum of Edinburgh. Both were smallish and very interesting... and free! I also found free parking (a tiny miracle). Both freebees will help to offset the cost of our visas, flights, rental, and the weak dollar to the pound ratio.

Three cute kids in front of two weird mannequins.
Kids in front of the Museum of Edinburgh.
Some interesting pairs of shoes. I wonder how uncomfortable they were.
Annie Joy Made this lovely play dough art picture. She is entirely self motivated and hard working. Play dough is totally awesome.
