Last Dance in Berkeley

We walked to Rainbow Donuts in Berkeley, a little over a mile from our hotel. The weather was perfect. During our walk, Ryan met with a friend from Edinburgh, Napier who happened to be in Berkeley to discuss his doctorate progress.

Annie looking eager to take a bite into her donut.

Happy walkers.

The best store ever, when your name is Calvin.

Hanging out at Ryan's alma matter. What a lucky duck (or grizzly bear) to have gone to such a great school!

Our little walk along the water in Berkeley was like being stuck in a giant wind tunnel. I loved it! Snuggling Norman is such a treat, and he got a kick out of the wind.

Classic. Annie and Calvin.

Simon and friends in front of the Oakland temple.

This is the view from the Oakland temple. I'm not usually in it.

We stopped at Tilden Park Little Farm. Oh the memories!!!!
I recall when I had Preston (3) and Calvin (1) and was big pregnant with Simon.
It was wonderful to return with them, and to be joined by even more children.  Ryan couldn't stop hugging the cow.

We capped our trip by dining at a local favorite, Spenger's Grotto.
I ordered the Parmesan Sole, Ryan got the linguini with clams, and the kids fancied popcorn shrimp and fish and chips. We couldn't afford to go here when we were in grad school... and I'm still not sure we could afford our dinner, party of 7:~)... Norman slept in his carseat under the table the entire meal.
