Cuusins in Kamas and Choir in CA

Two family highlights of Wednesday:

1) Annie and I were able to play with cousins and Aunts in Kamas, making crafts from old Dutch books, eating together, chatting about successes and not-quite-successes-yet, and finish the day with a dip in the hot tub.  Norman made the cut (but that's because he's a piece of baby fudge.  It was super fun to see all our family that ws there, and those who were absent were missed!

2) Preston is in two choirs at his school, concert choir and the top choir called Madrigals. They loaded a bus in the wee hours of the night headed to CA for a big musical competition. I think they are going to do well, and have a fabulous time.  Fun , fun.

Annie is such a craft monkey.

The table is massive and every last inch of it was covered with crafting supplies.

Making beautiful bowls and plates together with old books, Mod Podge and glue, and antique stain.

Two of my fabulous Aunts: making bowls on the left, and on the right my aunt is holding up her padded hands. She dipped them in Annie's hot wax/Satin hands machine. It gets firm pretty fast. You cover them with a plastic bag, then put the cozies on until your hands are no longer warm. The wax peels right off and leaves your hands feeling super soft.  Silly, and fun.

In the car listening to one of my better Mom speeches about eating right, being kind, not getting kicked out of the hotel, and looking before you cross the street.

Adios, Preston. See you in 5 days.
