Sixteen Candles

My son, that arrived into the world on a Weds morning, 8:00am to be exact, turned Sixteen years old today.  He was born via cesarean which gave me the opportunity to experience major abdominal surgery, and parenting all What a wild ride it has been thus far.  In these sixteen years he has lived in Tucson, Berkeley, Eugene, Salt Lake City, Bountiful, Edinburgh, and back to Bountiful.  So many wonderful memories spread out over so many places. Preston Edward Albert Smith (Peas) is currently works in an Old Folks home, cooking and serving old people.  He is kind, gentle, and patient with the residents.  My sweet Preston.  I'm excited to see what the next 16 years bring.

Party at IKEA. Meatball party.

Norman and Annie, trying out couches.

The end of his presents led Preston to a game of hangman...

Which led Preston to an envelope under the piano bench...

Which led him to some entertainment on October 2, 2015... two tickets to see Sam Smith.
Feliz cumpleanos, diez y seis!

Two other members of our congregation share this same birthday and so does our President, Barack Obama. It's basically a pretty amazing birthday.
