Fun in the Sun (...burn.)

***The weather was foggy and cloudy, but forecasts swore that it would clear up and be warm.  So a my family walked to the rail station, and a group from our church met us on the way to Kinghorn Beach.  We picnicked, we swam, we explored, we (my specific family) burnt.  It  was cloudy for the first few hours, but the sun did indeed come, and in spite of our residence in cold, windy, cloudy Scotland, I have managed to get a sunburn that would rival any burn I have ever had from the Tucson, AZ blaze. I completely forgot to bring sunscreen, inexplicably turned down kind offers from friends to share theirs, and am now dousing my kids with aloe vera with the hopes that red skin will turn into tan.  A totally fun day at the beach, a fairly hot uncomfortable night.

Waiting on the platform for our train with friends, Holly and Lori Davis.

Meeting up with other pals on the train, Jessica, Rowan, and Genie, and their kids.  Fiona Moon met us later at the beach with her daughter, Kaitlyn.

Simon burying Preston, Annie playing with a little.

Annie's head.

Simon the merman with Holly.

The water was very cold, but the Sun was shining and they were brave.

Perfect end to the day, 6 ice-cream cones.  Wish Ryan was with us, but someone has to make the magic happen.
