Leaving On A Jet Plane

I have officially lost count of how many times Ryan has left town for a business trip whilst living here in Scotland, or how many more trips he has left before we move back to Utah, USA.  Preston, Calvin, Simon, Annie, Owen and I have lived in Edinburgh for the last 7 months.  I don't think that in good conscience my husband can say the same.  Lest any of you start throwing together any sympathetic care packages, let it be know that Ryan left this morning and returns tomorrow afternoon.  Short and sweet. I think the rub is that I am in a foreign country, which increases my "husband is away" anxiety. He's off to Austria (or wherever) early Monday morning next week, and won't be home till Saturday.  Rinse and repeat many more times until we leave Scotland.  On second thought, start throwing those care packages together! (but not really, we are all just fine. A little lonely for America, but fine nonetheless.)

After dropping Ryan off at the airport, Owen and I met a friend/her son at a mall in Livingston for some miniature golfing.  The place wasn't open for a while so we got some hot chocolate and wandered around a bit. Owen is making his crazy unblinking alien eyes face.

We let them take pics in the photo booth.  What fun!

I grabbed some delicious fresh haddock fish and chips for lunch.  It was everything batter dipped, fried fish should be.  The chips, though, were a bit soggy.

Owen and Aaron miniature golfing.  They had a great time, and I even got a hole in one.  What a great day.
