Provo Temple

Last Saturday we tried to attend the Provo Temple open house, but really lousy snow weather made it impossible to attend at our assigned ticket time.  We attempted to attend the open house this time, but had no tickets (the tickets are free but have only a limited number and there were non available for the weekend, and for our large group of 9.) Anyways, when we drove up to the temple it looked as if they weren't even allowing standby tickets. But with faith in our hearts, and some kind accommodating ushers, we did indeed get into the Provo temple for the tour. Once the temple is dedicated (put to official use) only people with a recommend card (pass) are able to enter. Most who attend the temple are at least 12 years old, and only adults have full access to the temple.  It's beautiful, and I'm very grateful that my younger children were able to check out the temple.

In the line to get into the open house. It was like Disneyland long.

See, I was there too.

When you walk inside the temple, your'e asked to wear these little white shoe covers to help keep the temple floor clean.  Norman can't walk yet, so Ryan put a cover on his head instead.

A lovely information area at the end of the tour.

A sign form a port-a-potties in the waiting area of the parking lot, in case you had to go.
The bottom bit just seemed so funny to me.
"unsatisfactory condiitons"

We had a wonderful dinner at a local Chinese favorite: The Mandarin.
The cameraman said "say cheese" so I did. I'm caught right in the middle of saying cheese.
