Free the Tampon!

Dear Friends,
I have just happened upon a TED talk about a woman who just started a campaign to require all public restrooms to supply feminine hygiene products, the same way that toilet paper and soap are made available for free.  It's impossible for me to agree with this more.  Every single woman has had a surprise period, has felt the panic associated with a possible leak, has had to improvise in the stall, has had to tie a sweater around her waste.  Imagine a world where we valued women and girls enough to provide for their basic bathroom needs in the same way we provide for the men.  Not hard to do. Everything about this is a good idea. Every member of society has benefitted from a woman's cycle. To modify an old proverb: "the best time to free the tampon is twenty years ago. The next best time to free the tampon is today." For more info head on over to freethetampon.org.

Been there. Done that. Not cool.

Men have urinals, but we don't have tampons?! That's so messed up.
