Milk and God

I loved this story I heard yesterday at women's conference. The original was found in one of our church magazines, but I can't recall which one was quoted. Here it is in a nutshell. A mom and her child go grocery shipping. They finish and drive home and the little kid wants to carry the milk jug into the house. The child can't even lift the jug but stubbornly insists on doing this service for the family. Eventually the mom simply picks the child up, and the milk jug, and carries them both into the house.  When they get inside, the child brags about how they were able to bring the milk in all by themselves.  I thought it was a pretty funny analogy, given how often we as people fail to recognize how often the help we receive is divine.

A milk jug weighs 8.33 lbs.
