Easter Finale

On Easter Sunday, our family was traveling home from Nevada.  We were able to catch some Easter talks on the radio during our drive to Bountiful, UT, but many of our traditional Easter festivities were postponed. Last night I made what we consider a fairly standard Easter meal: ham, potatoes, orange rolls, fruit salad, and asparagus.  Annie and Owen filled plastic Easter eggs and Preston hid them in the yard for the younger kids to hunt for. Tonight we dyed eggs for our Easter culmination.  Nothing was permanently stained, everyone had plenty of eggs to dye, and I'm able to check one more holiday off of the 2015 celebration list.

Speaking of Easter... words can't express the gratitude I feel to my parents for teaching me about Jesus Christ, His Gospel of Peace, and the Atonement.  As much as I love Christmas, who doesn't love the story of a miraculous birth?!... Easter is where the rubber meets the road.

Happy Belated Easter!  Here are two Easter favorites:

Isaiah 53:3-5 (Old Testament in the Bible)
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.   ¶Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he wasbruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
1 Nephi  3:8-11 (The Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ.)
26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins.

Getting Bigger. He's already gained 4 oz since delivery... what a pig!

Annie helped set the entire egg operation up. She's a mover and a shaker.

Can't wait to make deviled eggs tomorrow!
