Ryan's dept at the U of U (architecture) had a faculty and family barbecue at a park this evening. It was catered and was pretty good, especially the meat: pulled pork and barbecue chicken drumsticks. Finger licken good. He works with some kind people, and it was nice to check in with some familiar faces. Ryan has actually been employed at the U of U for 11 years! So some of his colleagues had little kids when we first started coming to these faculty family parties, and now their kids are teens. Reminds me that my kids are also growing up way too fast.
This is literally the best news interview with the most brilliant quote ever:
"Ain't nobody got time for that."
Sweet Brown explains that at first she thought a house fire was a barbecue. (Which is why I think of this clip literally every time I eat bbq or hear the word "barbecue.")

Norman had a bath in the sink tonight whilst sitting in his Bumbo seat.
