Today was the only fundraiser for the year, the elementary school that my kids go to, Muir. It's a simple (but awesome!) obstacle course around the school year. This is the third year for the "Laps for Lions" fundraiser, and it's made about 30,000 each year. It's brilliant. I went to the school to cheer my kids on and help out with the course. It was loads of fun, and the kids had a great time. Annie finished first for all the girls in her entire grade. I was super glad that I was there to witness their efforts, and it made me think of the song Seasons of Love, from the play Rent. Trying to measure my minutes in love.
Ryan took me to get Japanese for dinner, and then to do some
clothes shopping. I hate shopping, but everything is more fun with Ryan.
Owen racing.
Annie showing off little Norman.
Annie running, smiling, making the most of every minute of her life.
Simon at a well check visit. He turns 12 in a few weeks.
What a guy.
Preston at the Apple Store.
Seasons of Love:
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty five thousand moments, oh dear
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?
Five hundred twenty five thousand moments, oh dear
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, measure a year?
In daylights, in sunsets
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?
In midnights, in cups of coffee
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife
In five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure, a year in the life?
How about love?
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love
Seasons of love (love)
Seasons of love (love)
Seasons of love (love)
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
Five hundred twenty five thousand journeys to plan
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?
Five hundred twenty five thousand journeys to plan
Five hundred twenty five thousand six hundred minutes
How do you measure the life of a woman or a man?
In truths that she learned
Or in times that he cried
In bridges he burned or the way that she died
Or in times that he cried
In bridges he burned or the way that she died
It's time now, to sing out
Though the story never ends
Let's celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends
Though the story never ends
Let's celebrate
Remember a year in the life of friends
Remember the love
(Oh, you got to, you got to remember the love)
Remember the love
(You know that love is a gift from up above)
Remember the love
(Share love, give love, spread love)
Measure in love
(Measure, measure your life in love)
(Oh, you got to, you got to remember the love)
Remember the love
(You know that love is a gift from up above)
Remember the love
(Share love, give love, spread love)
Measure in love
(Measure, measure your life in love)
Seasons of love
Seasons of love
(Measure your life, measure your life in love)
Seasons of love
(Measure your life, measure your life in love)
