Soft Gingersnaps
Soft Gingersnaps
¾ cup butter
¾ cup shortening
½ cup molasses
2 c sugar
2 eggs
4 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
Cream butter, shortening, and molasses and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing
well. Stir in the remaining
ingredients. Form dough into balls and
roll in sugar. Bake at 350Âș for 10 – 12
minutes. Makes 3 – 4 dozen.
Make these in December
and your family will feel the Christmas spirit.
This recipe comes from my in-laws.
They are big on holiday traditions, and this recipe is now one of ours.
