Back to School

Ryan got a letter today from the Royal Mail of Scotland, which is always exciting.  It was a letter from Edinburgh Napier University, welcoming him to their doctoral program. He will be in the program for 2 1/2 years, working with his good friend and a colleague that he worked with when our family lived in Scotland. The letter also contained his student ID card, which "can be used to help get student discounts at shops, pubs, cinemas, etc." We Mormons are always on the hunt for pub discounts.

Ryan is finally home from his trip to Canada.  He brought home some maple syrup (10 points to Ryan.) He's holding up his new student ID card.

The whole family (minus sleeping Norman) crowded on the bed to watch him open up his
Royal Mail.

Snuck Owen out of school for lunch today. I listed every restaurant I could think of... but Owen still chose the Golden Arches. At least they serve salads. Owen opted for the cheeseburger happy meal.

We bought these cool shoes as well.  The laces are such a vibrant shade of blue that they make me happy.

Owen and mom pic.

Calvin got two baby teeth pulled today, so that his permanent teeth would grow in properly (they were starting to grow around the baby teeth, all wonky like.) He was brave, and was rewarded with a trip to the video store and a chocolate peanut butter banana shake... and ibuprofen.
