Mercy, for many high quality individuals, the springing of Spring doesn't just mean rain and flowers. It also includes itchy eyes, sneezing, and misery. Owen woke up in the middle of the night because his eyes were itching so bad. This morning, he looked like he had been in a prize fight: swollen eyes and face (but no bruising or blood:~) Well, one look at that kid and I knew he had woken up with a get out of school pass. Sooo, we played and chatted. He crafted. I nursed. And this afternoon, thank heavens, his medicine kicked in and he was able to function like a regular, almost allergy free person. Down with Allergies!
Owen requested to use some duct tape today. I asked what for and he just told me he was working on something. He had marshmallows and pretzels on the table. No idea what he was up to. A few minutes later, he showed me the campfire that he built (with the tape to hold up the orange flame.)
Totally creative. That's got to come from his father.
Ryan had another chemo appointment today. Hopefully, this was a day that will reign some great results in a few days.
