3 Churches

As it's the Sunday before Christmas, we thought we should go to three churches today, instead of just one for three hours.  First up was a Church of England in Oxford.  We met up with one of Ryan's colleagues and friends Adrian Robinson and his family.  Though doctrinally we differed a bit, we all really enjoyed the services, complete with mince pies that were handed out afterward.  We were then treated to a wonderful home-made lunch at Adrian's house made by his lovely wife Jill; cottage pies, steamed broccoli, and pickled cabbage/onion/apple bake.  Dessert was a chocolate orange almond cake with custard sauce.  The food and company were delightful.  Next, we caught a sacrament meeting at the Oxford 1st Ward (from our faith, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.) And the final church up to bat was Christ Church, which had my kids thirsty for butter beer and thinking of quidich.
So many places to worship our Savior!

Jill, Adrian and us in front of their church, the parish of Saint Ebbe's.

Calvin and I in front of the Oxford Ward meetinghouse.  I couldn't help think about my wonderful sister Hillary and her family, attending this same meetinghouse for over 3 years.

A tree/vine growing up the side of Christ Church, not computer generated.

Preston in front of the Great Hall, where the School was sorted into their houses on HP.

My family posing by the Christmas tree in the Hall.  Feliz Navidad!

Annie, Calvin and Simon in front of the cloister (isn't that a funny word.)
